They are held in place by a magnet that sits inside the lip or ears.
With a little practice its very easy to put on.

How to wear the lip/ear studs.
So easy to wear, place the magnet on your thumb. Slide the magnet inside your lip hold in place then place the bullet or spike on top. It will snap together and stay there with out moving.
I have personally worn the non piercing studs on my nose, lips and ears. Its quite surprising how strong the magnet is and they really do stay on. They do look real and are lots of fun to wear.
